During World War II, Jews in Antwerp were severely persecuted by the German occupiers. During this walk you will learn more about the Antwerp persecution of Jews during World War II.

We start at Central Station and make a loop of about two hours through the Kievit neighbourhood. In this walk we will stop at various locations that played an important role during the persecution of the Jews. Each time you will hear a fascinating personal story.

The stories are told from different perspectives: a deported man during the very first raid, a collaborator, a cooperating policeman... But also surprising persons pass in review, such as the inventor of the Antwerps Handje and a child who spent almost the entire war hiding with another family. In addition, the political background of the time is described in detail.
