For about 2 million emigrants from Europe, the Red Star Line buildings on Antwerp's Eilandje were the start of a new life in America.
With the walk "In Search of the Red Star Line," you walk through old warehouses, past the bollards where the ships moored and past the old port warehouses. Your guide will tell you all about the ins and outs of the passengers during their journey through Europe, their stay in Antwerp, their trip across the ocean and their experiences in the New World. The end point of the walk is the entrance to the magnificent Red Star Line Museum, the perfect complement to this city walk!
