The Butterfly Palace: on the wings of justice
IMPORTANT: contact info@antwerpcityguides.eu before booking.
Since 2006, Antwerp has had a new monumental landmark. The Butterfly Palace, as the new court of justice is sometimes called, is one of the most remarkable examples of modern architecture in Antwerp: a glass house, in which the people, but especially those seeking justice, are important.
Was this new courthouse really necessary? What is the "salle des pas perdus"? What awards has the building received ?
During the tour, these and many other questions will be answered. Of course, we will be happy to tell you about the architecture of this iconic building and briefly go into details of jurisdiction. The view of the surroundings, such as the New South district with the tower of the power station, is magnificent, especially from the highest floor!
