Would you like to visit Oosterweelwerf with your company, association or a group of friends? You can! You can now visit the yard Scheldt tunnel on the Left Bank, in cooperation with the Antwerp City Guides.
On the left bank of the Scheldt River in Antwerp, Lantis is building the tunnel entrance (lane leading to the main roadway) and tunnel mouth of the new Scheldt Tunnel in Antwerp. This tunnel is an important link in the Oosterweel connection, which completes the Antwerp Ring Road.
During the site visit, you will learn more about the construction and importance of the new tunnel under the Scheldt River. A guide takes you to an observation tower with a unique view of the construction of the tunnel entrance on the Left Bank. A technical feat!

Once you receive confirmation, you can book the tour. If the day and time are less suitable, we will contact you to try to find another date.

Yard safety
- Because of the size and complexity of the site, it is not possible to organize visits in the construction pit.
- In order to still be able to show the scope and impressive works to the general public, an observation tower about 2 stories high was built. From this tower you have a very nice global view of the tunnel entrance ramp and the tunnel mouth and how they are being constructed.

- What do you wear for a site visit?
It is mandatory to wear long pants; it is also best to wear sturdy footwear that may get dirty. - Is the yard wheelchair accessible?
No, you must be in shape to climb the stair tower. This is about 2 stories high; there is no elevator. - What is the minimum age?
16 years old - What is the maximum group size?
For safety reasons, we can only accept groups of up to 25 people at a time. It is NOT possible to book 2 guides at the same time to accommodate a group of 50 people. For this you need to book 2 visits at different times.
