New Provincial House Antwerp

In 2013, the old provincial house was demolished. A compact, future-oriented and sustainable new Provincial House was built on the same site. Since 2018, Antwerp has a new iconic building. The design by architect Xaveer De Geyter is maximally open, transparent and sustainable. The new garden surrounding the provincial house provides a green setting.

You get an answer to the question if the province had not been abolished.
During the tour, you get an insight into the working of the headquarters of the Province of Antwerp where the governor, the deputation and the central services work

You will experience how the extraordinary architecture embodies the province's ambitions.
You will learn how the latest sustainable technology heats and cools a tower building without fossil fuels.

During the tour, you also get an idea of the variety of workspaces hidden behind the triangular windows.
A glance through these windows offers you a special view of the surroundings. 

We like telling you more about the striking architecture of this iconic building. We will also briefly discuss the role of the provincial government.

• Possible time slots: Monday: 4:30 PM, Friday: 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM. Duration of the tour: 1.5 hours. Max. 2 groups per time slot.
• The entrance hall is open to the general public and free of charge. We will visit other normally non-accessible parts of the building during this tour.
